This exhibit is the first to set the works of American painter Georgia O’Keeffe in dialogue with that of British sculptor Henry Moore.This large –scale exhibition draws new parallels between the lives and art of these two 20th century icons and pioneers of modern art. Through over 120 works, together with recreations of each artist’s studio, it retraces the evolution of their artistic practices and underscores the profound influence the natural world had on their work.

Wednesday May 29, 2024 | Day Trip to Hudson

We leave the ACC approximately 9-9:30 AM by luxury coach. Our first stop is Brunch at Allo Mon Coco, Point Claire.

The second stop is the play at the Hudson Village Theatre . The play starts at 2:00 PM

 

We will see the Musical The Soul Sisters

Live Tribute to the Great Women of R&B and Soul

Soul Sisters opens with pioneers like Big Mama Thornton and Etta James, then moves on to the Queens of the 60s and 70s, like Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Diana Ross, Donna Summer, Patti Labelle, and Tina Turner; it then finishes up with more recent stars like Whitney Houston, Sade, and Adele. Along the way, the show also explores some of the greatest duets of Soul and R&B with male stars like James Brown, Marvin Gaye, and Otis Redding. With over 30 hits songs, there “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” to keep you from having a great time with our Soul Sisters.


Featuring 3 vocalists and a 4-piece live band of world class musicians.
