Wednesday October 23, 1:00 PM Movie Premiere at Cine Starz Cinema, Cavendish Mall
We will be having a private showing of the latest Helen Mirren Movie, White Bird
- Struggling to fit in at his new school after being expelled for his treatment of Auggie Pullman, Julian is visited by his grandmother and is transformed by the story of her attempts to escape Nazi-occupied France during World War II.
- In R. J. Palacio's bestselling collection of stories Auggie and Me, which expands on characters in Wonder, readers were introduced to Julian's grandmother, Grandmère. Here, Palacio makes her graphic novel debut with Grandmère's heartrending story: how she, a young Jewish girl, was hidden by a family in a Nazi-occupied French village during World War II; how the boy she and her classmates once shunned became her savior and best friend.
The Cost is $17.00 for the admission, small popcorn & small drink. Please pay by cash.

The movie starts at 1:15 and is for 2 hours ( ends 3:15)

Wednesday Nov. 6, 2024, 12:30 – 1:30. Presentation from SPVM Station 9 on Fraud & Scams.
Doors open at 12:00PM
Marc Berthiaume, Agent Sociocommunautaire from Station 9, will be covering the following: the most common
standard frauds, technology frauds, and some scam tactics.
The presentation lasts +/- 1 hour, depending on the number of questions/interactions people have.
He will also give out some pamphlets & card holders as free gifts.
Refreshments will be served.
Members $5.00
Non-Members $10.00
PLEASE NOTE THE EARLIER TIME: DOORS OPEN AT 12:00 NOON. (The earlier time is due to the police officer having to leave at 1:30 to supervise the security of the many schools in the area which close at 3:00 PM.)

We are offering 5 Samba Canasta Lessons for $50.00.
Lessons start on Thursday Oct. 17/24 from 1:00 PM -3:00 PM, and continue on Oct 24, 31 & Nov. 7
You must also be a member of the CSL Women's Club. Membership is $50.00.
