Wednesday, August 14, 2024 Day Trip to Brockville 1000 Islands Cruise, tour Fulford Mansion & Tea at Cosies Tea House. This Trip is Confirmed.
All who have confirmed for this trip please bring in your payment right away. Also, put your cell # in the envelope.
- For your payment (Cash or Cheque), cheques made out to the CSL Senior Women’s Club. NO Post-Dated Cheques.
- You may leave the payment in a sealed envelope at the front desk of the Aquatic Center with your name and info. Write The Women’s Club on the outside of the envelope.
You may mail the cheque to the address at the top of this flyer.
We leave the ACC at 8:30 AM sharp. (You must be at the ACC at 8:00 AM Sharp to board the bus). We return at 6:00 PM.
- We will travel by Luxury Bus. Arrive at Brockville at 10:30 AM. Then we board our 1000 Island & Seaway Cruise Ship. This will take 1 ½ hours during which we will eat our lunches on board. (You bring your own lunch.)
- We will also visit Canada’s oldest Railway Tunnel which was built in 1850 and runs 1 quarter of a mile under the city. It was restored in 2017 and visitors can now walk through the tunnel.
- Afterward we will tour the Fulford Place Mansion - An Edwardian mansion containing much of the original furnishings and art collected from around the world.
- After that we will have tea at Cosies Tea House, (Scones, jam, cream and tea). Then we depart for Montreal at 4:00 PM.
Cost for Bus, Cruise, High Tea.

Cost: $120.00 for Non-members

Wednesday, JUNE 19, 2024 Mark Friedman will speak on AI.
1:30 pm (Doors open at 12:45pm)
- Mark will speak about the origins of AI and the benefits to many multinational companies and in the medical field as well as pop culture. The negatives were fraud, scams, and false info as well as child pornography. Legislation is now in the process of giving fines and jail time to those who use AI for unethical purposes when arrested. Unfortunately, many jobs will be lost because of AI. Please prepare your questions.

The Cote Saint-Luc Women’s Club Presents a Piano Recital by award winning musical prodigy Devon Packer. 1:30 pm. Doors open at 12:45 pm At the Harold Greenspon Auditorium. Tickets are $15.00, available through the Women’s Club. You may purchase them at our meeting on June 19, at the Fitness classes, at Hand Knee & Foot, MahJong, or Bridge.
You may pay for Devon Packer Tickets By E-Transfer. Your tickets will be waiting for you at the door on June 26, 2024.

Anyone who has paid for Quebec City will have their payment refunded.
The following Clubs are ongoing for paid-up members 2023/2024:
MahJong is on Mondays from 12:30-3:30
Free Play MahJong. No supervision or teaching, only volunteer organizers. (This is in the Senior Lounge, 2nd Floor.)
Bridge is on Tuesdays from 12:30-3:30 (This is in Salon A & B on the 2nd Floor.)
Hand Knee & Foot Canasta is on Fridays from 12:30-3:30.
Free play (This is in Salon A on the 2nd Floor.)
Fitness Classes Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:30-10:30 AM in the ACC Gym.
We have opened up some spaces. If you are interested, leave a message on our phone line (top of this flyer), and someone will get back to you.
Indoor Walking on Tuesdays only. in the ACC Gym 8:30 AM- 9:30 AM This is a free program open to all.
