The Following are 4 Day trips. Please RSVP to this email or by phone if you would like to go on any of these trips. You can bring a non-member (they pay the non-member price).  I need to have your answer ASAP BY April 5, 2024, as I must see if we have enough interest for these trips, and I must make the reservations well in advance. 


1. Wednesday May 8, 2024, Day Trip to Ottawa for the Canadian Tulip Festival. CANCELLED


We leave the ACC at 8:00 AM sharp (You must be at the ACC at 7:30 AM Sharp to board the bus) We return at 6:00 PM.

We will travel by Luxury Bus and arrive at Ottawa at 10:00 AM.

We will be met by our local guide who will be narrating in detail about all that we will be seeing. He will show us the Tulip Beds, as well as the major attractions, including a visit to the stables to see the musical rides. We lunch at ByWard Market You pay your own lunch or you can bring your own lunch to eat there.

 
Meet your local Ottawa guide at 10 AM at the famous ByWard market where you will also enjoy a lunch on your own. The ByWard Market is a vibrant and historic district located in the heart of Ottawa, Canada’s capital city. With its bustling atmosphere, rich history, and diverse mix of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options, the ByWard Market has become a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike. 

As the city prepares to host visitors from around the world for The Tulip Festival you will get a chance to view the incredible Commissioners Park. Follow the winding pathways and take in the explosion of colour in gardens filled with over 250,000 tulips. This festival began as a gift from Holland’s royal family, who were exiled in Ottawa during World War II. The tulip was designated Ottawa’s official flower in 2001. A truly festive atmosphere encompasses the whole city.


Experience the Rideau Canal, Ontario’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Visit the centre stage of Canadian democracy with a windshield tour of The Parliament! The buildings and grounds of Parliament Hill are a site of architectural beauty, historical significance, and federal decision-making. The Supreme court of Canada. We’ll drive by Rideau Hall, the official residence and workplace of every Governor General since 1867. Drive through Embassy Row. The Prime Minister’s residence. The War and The History Museum. The National Gallery of Canada. The Royal Canadian Mint. 

The Experimental Farm right in the heart of the city. 


Later, we’ll visit the Royal Mounted Canadian Police Stables; home of the world-famous RCMP Musical Ride. Meet the horses and riders, walk through the stables, experience our visitor center, and browse through the Mountie Shop. The Musical Ride supports front-line police operations by building positive relationships, supporting recruiting efforts and promoting the RCMP's image in communities in Canada and around the world.


The RCMP and the Musical Ride were all men at its foundation. The first woman was incorporated to the Ride in 1981. During its annual tour of Canada and abroad, usually from May to October, the Musical Ride visits 40 to 50 locations.

2. Wednesday May 29, 2024, Day Trip to Hudson Village Theatre - SOLD OUT


Soul Sisters opens with pioneers like Big Mama Thornton and Etta James, then moves on to the Queens of the 60s and 70s, like Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Diana Ross, Donna Summer, Patti Labelle, and Tina Turner; it then finishes up with more recent stars like Whitney Houston, Sade, and Adele. Along the way, the show also explores some of the greatest duets of Soul and R&B with male stars like James Brown, Marvin Gaye, and Otis Redding. With over 30 hits songs, there “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” to keep you from having a great time with our Soul Sisters.

Featuring 3 vocalists and a 4-piece live band of world class musicians.

We leave the ACC 9:30 AM by luxury coach (You have to be at the ACC at 8:45 AM sharp to board the bus).

Our first stop is Brunch at Allo Mon Coco Point Claire. The menu is below. Please select the number & name of your order and tell us your choice at the time of reservation. We must pre-order as we are a large group.

Second stop is the play at the Hudson Village Theatre. Play starts at 2:00 PM.

3. Wednesday July 17, 2024, Day Trip to Quebec City


We leave the ACC at 8:00 AM sharp (You have to be at the ACC at 7:30 AM sharp to board the bus) We return at 9:00 PM.

We will travel by Luxury Bus. Arrive at Quebec City at 11:00 AM.

We will be met by our local guide and tour Old Quebec for 1 hour then depart for Montmorency Falls where we will ride a cable car to the top and have our picnic lunch (you bring your own lunch) Afterwards, we return to the Old City and continue our tour. At 4:45 we drive to Buffett des Continents, for a buffet dinner. At 6:00 we depart for Montreal for a 9:00 PM arrival.

Costs include all admissions and the buffet dinner and bus.

4. Wednesday August 14, 2024, Day Trip to Brockville


We leave the ACC at 8:30 AM sharp (You have to be at the Acc at 8:00 AM sharp to board the bus ) We return at 6:00 PM.

We will travel by Luxury Bus. Arrive at Brockville at 10:30 AM. Then we board our 1000 Island & Seaway Cruise Ship. This will take 1 ½ hours during which we will eat our lunches on board. (You bring your own lunch)

Afterwards, we will tour the Fulford Place Mansion, an Edwardian mansion containing much of the original furnishings & art collected from around the world.

After that we will have tea at Cosies' Tea House (Scones, jam, cream & tea) Then we depart for Montreal at 4:00 PM

Cost for Bus, Cruise, High Tea.

  • Cost  $90.00 for Members
  • Cost $100.00 for Non members
